Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Develop and execute import strategies to source fresh produce particularly apples from international markets ensuring alignment with AAFL s quality standards and business objectives Manage end-to-end import operations including vendor selection contract negotiation shipping logistics and customs clearance Build and maintain robust relationships with international suppliers shipping agents and customs officials to ensure timely and cost-effective imports Monitor global market trends shipping routes and pricing dynamics to identify opportunities for cost optimization and risk mitigation Collaborate with the cold chain infrastructure team to ensure imported produce is seamlessly integrated into AAFL s Controlled Atmosphere storage facilities Ensure adherence to international trade regulations shipping documentation and import compliance requirements Analyze import data and generate actionable insights to improve operational efficiency and reduce lead times Work closely with the Marketing Sales team to align import schedules with distribution network demands and seasonal market trends Leverage technology and analytics tools to optimize import operations and enhance decision-making processes Support AAFL s strategic initiatives to expand its portfolio by identifying potential import opportunities for other fruits and vegetables Qualifications Required Qualifications Experience Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain Management International Business or a related field Strong understanding of fresh food supply chains international markets and import export operations Proven experience in managing shipping routes customs clearance and C F operations is preferred Advanced certifications in import export management or logistics are preferred Years Type of Experience Fresher 0-2 years of experience in import export operations international logistics or supply chain management Exposure to fresh produce supply chains and cold chain logistics is highly desirable .
