01Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable operations including invoice processing, vendor payments, employee reimbursements, vendor reconciliations, and resolution of payment-related queries. Oversee Accounts Receivable activities including customer invoicing, collections, cash application, debtor ageing review, customer reconciliations, and follow-up on overdue receivables. Ensure timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closure for AP and AR activities with accurate schedules, reconciliations, provisions, and reporting support. Monitor vendor ageing, customer ageing, advances, open items, unadjusted balances, and long-pending reconciling items, and drive timely closure with relevant stakeholders. Maintain strong internal controls over AP and AR processes, ensuring compliance with company policies, delegation of authority, statutory requirements, audit requirements, and accounting standards. Review and validate invoices, credit notes, debit notes, payment proposals, receipts, write-offs, adjustments, and journal entries to ensure accuracy and completeness. Coordinate with procurement, operations, sales, business teams, treasury, tax, and legal teams for timely resolution of vendor, customer, payment, billing, and collection-related matters. Support statutory audits, internal audits, tax audits, and management reviews by providing accurate data, reconciliations, explanations, and process documentation. Drive process improvements, automation, standardization, and digitization initiatives across AP and AR to improve efficiency, accuracy, controls, and turnaround time. Good knowledge and understanding of GST, TDS, statutory reporting, and applicable financial compliance requirements. Must have an excellent accounting background and strong analytical skills to review ledgers, ageing reports, reconciliations, financial schedules, and process exceptions. Lead, guide, and mentor the AP and AR team, ensuring effective workload management, timely delivery, quality output, and continuous capability development. Should be able to work with different teams and SPOCs during month-end close, statutory deadlines, audits, and other critical timelines.
Mandatory skill sets:
Must have excellent command over ERPs such as Oracle, SAP, or equivalent finance systems, along with strong working knowledge of MS Excel and reporting tools. Hands-on experience in using automation, workflow tools, dashboards, and AI-enabled solutions in finance operations will be an added advantage. Should have excellent communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and escalation-handling skills

Must have the capability to take ownership of new challenges, manage competing priorities, and deliver under stringent timelines. Must be flexible to support the team during statutory deadlines, audits, month-end activities, and various ad hoc assignments.
