POSITION PROFILE : Position Title : VP - Analytics & BILocation : Chennai & HyderabadFunction : Business Intelligence UnitPOSITION SUMMARY : The VP - Analytics & Business Intelligence will lead enterprise-wide analytics initiatives to drive data-driven decision-making across the bank. This role partners with senior stakeholders across Business, Risk, Digital, Product, Strategy, and Technology to deliver insights that accelerate growth, improve profitability, enhance customer engagement, and strengthen risk management.The role focuses on building scalable analytics capabilities, enabling reporting excellence, and delivering actionable insights that drive measurable business outcomes.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES : - Leadership & Team Management : Lead and develop a high-performing analytics team to deliver impactful business outcomes.- Analytics Strategy & Business Partnership : Define and execute analytics strategy aligned with business priorities and stakeholder needs.- Reporting & Business Intelligence : Drive scalable, automated reporting and dashboarding solutions for decision-making.- Data & Technology : Oversee data architecture and leverage modern tools to build robust analytics platforms.- Governance & Operational Excellence : Ensure strong governance, quality, and continuous improvement across analytics processes.- Leadership & Team Management : Lead and develop a high-performing analytics team to deliver impactful business outcomes.- Analytics Strategy & Business Partnership : Define and execute analytics strategy aligned with business priorities and stakeholder needs.DESIRED PROFILE : Qualifications and Skills- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Computers or a related quantitative field- Engineering / MBA background from a premier institute is preferred.- Experience : 10-12 years in analytics/BI with proven leadership and enterprise solution delivery experience.- Technical Skills : Strong expertise in SQL, Python, Py-Spark, Databricks, and modern data platforms.- Data & Analytics Knowledge : Deep understanding of data modeling, ETL, and scalable analytics frameworks.- Leadership Skills : Proven ability to lead teams and influence stakeholders at senior levels.- Strategic & Communication Skills : Strong problem-solving, strategic thinking, and executive communication capabilities (ref:hirist.tech) .
