Insurance Business Analyst (P&C) Guidewire Pre-Sales and Solutions
Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Insurance Business Analyst with strong Guidewire expertise and proven exposure to pre-sales and solutioning. The role combines business analysis, platform-led solution design, RFP response support, and pipeline building for P&C insurance transformation programs.
Key Responsibilities
Elicit, document, and manage business and functional requirements across P&C insurance processes including policy, claims, billing, and reinsurance.
Translate business requirements into clear artefacts such as BRDs, user stories, process maps, traceability matrices, and UAT support documents.
Work closely with solution architects and delivery teams to shape Guidewire-led solutions across PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter.
Lead workshops, stakeholder discussions, and sprint ceremonies to align business goals with delivery outcomes.
Support RFPs and RFIs by contributing to solution definition, scope, estimations, assumptions, and proposal content.
Participate in solution presentations, client discussions, and orals by articulating business value and Guidewire platform fit.
Help build a strong opportunity pipeline by supporting deal qualification, solution shaping, and reusable proposal assets.
Must-Have Skills and Experience
810 years of experience as a Business Analyst in insurance IT, with strong P&C domain knowledge.
Solid understanding of insurance lifecycle processes across underwriting, policy administration, claims, billing, and reinsurance.
Hands-on experience in at least one Guidewire core module, with strong preference for PolicyCenter, and exposure to ClaimCenter or BillingCenter.
Experience in Guidewire implementations, enhancements, or modernization programs.
Ability to map business requirements to Guidewire capabilities such as product model, workflows, integrations, rating, and policy lifecycle transactions.
Experience supporting pre-sales activities including RFP responses, solution documentation, estimations, and client presentations.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and workshop facilitation skills.
Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, and standard proposal tools such as PowerPoint and Excel.
Good-to-Have
Experience with Guidewire Cloud.
Exposure to specialty lines such as cyber, marine, or D&O.
Familiarity with ACORD standards, APIs, and integration patterns.
Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, CPCU, or Guidewire credentials.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Strong Insurance BA with Guidewire-first experience.
Comfortable operating across both delivery and pre-sales.
Able to bridge business needs, platform capabilities, and client-facing solution conversations.
Capable of supporting Hexawares growth by contributing to quality proposals and a healthy project pipeline. .
