Key Responsibilities Evaluate insurance applications to assess risks and determine the eligibility of applicants for commercial policies. Calculate appropriate premiums and set terms and conditions for coverage based on risk assessment. Analyze financial statements, inspection reports, and other data to understand applicant's risk profile. Communicate effectively with brokers, agents, and internal sales teams to gather necessary information and explain underwriting decisions. Monitor existing policies, identifying potential risks or changes that may affect coverage or profitability. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company underwriting guidelines. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance underwriting , preferably with commercial lines. Strong understanding of risk management principles and insurance products. Excellent analytical, numerical, and decision-making skills. Proficiency in underwriting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Completion of relevant professional designations (e.g., CPCU) is an advantage.
