Role Summary :
The Accounts Manager will be responsible for overseeing the accounting operations of organization ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with statutory requirements, and effective management of day-to-day accounting activities.
Key Responsibilities :
Financial Accounting Reporting :
Manage and oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, Inventory management including valuation and bank reconciliations. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards and the Companies Act. Ensure timely closing of books of accounts and preparation of management reports. Monitor and analyze financial performance and provide insights to management. Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors and ensure timely closure of audit queries.
Statutory Compliance :
Knowledge of statutory and regulatory compliance, including GST, TDS, Income Tax, Provident Fund (PF), Employees State Insurance (ESI), Professional Tax, and other applicable laws and regulations.
Budgeting & Controls :
Assist in preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts. Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure process integrity. Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
Team Management :
Supervise and mentor the accounts team. Allocates responsibilities and review team performance.
Skills Required :
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools. Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) :
Timely closure of monthly accounts. Accuracy of financial statements. Compliance with statutory deadlines. Audit observations and closure status.
Key Skills & Competencies :
Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and compliance. Proficiency in ERP systems, Tally, MS Excel, and financial reporting tools. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong leadership and people management abilities. Effective communication and stakeholder management.
