Inventory & Purchasing Officer

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Inventory & Purchasing Officer to join our team. Remote Opportunity Timings: 7:30pm to 4:30am IST Duties Oversee warehouse distribution activities, ensuring efficient stock movement and storage managementConduct data mining and analysis using tools like Power BI, Tableau, and Excel to identify trends, forecast demand, and support inventory planningManage procurement processes by sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and maintaining supplier relationships to secure optimal pricing and termsUtilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms such as AS400 and SAP to track inventory levels, process orders, and update records accuratelyPerform root cause analysis on stock discrepancies or supply chain disruptions to implement effective corrective actionsCoordinate logistics activities including shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and materials handling with third-party logistics providers (3PL)Lead process improvement initiatives in inventory management, demand planning, and warehouse operations to enhance efficiency and reduce costsSkills Extensive experience in warehouse distribution, warehouse management systems (WMS), and materials handling techniquesStrong negotiation skills with a proven track record of managing supplier contracts and sourcing strategiesProficiency in data analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and Excel for data collection, visualization, and financial analysisKnowledge of procurement procedures, logistics inventory management, and supply chain analyticsAbility to perform root cause analysis and implement process improvements within complex supply chain environmentsFamiliarity with ERP systems like AS400 or SAP for inventory control and order processingExcellent cross-functional communication skills to collaborate with merchandising, production planning, shipping & receiving teamsTechnical proficiency in inventory management software, spreadsheets, demand planning tools, and data visualization platformsPhysical ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary; experience with forklift operation is a plusStrong analytical skills combined with mathematical aptitude for financial modeling and pricing strategiesJoin us as an Inventory & Purchasing Officer if youre passionate about optimizing supply chains through innovative solutions, data-driven insights, and strategic negotiations.
