Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive IP Paralegal to support our Intellectual Property (IP) team in managing patent, trademark, and related IP matters. The ideal candidate will have a background in Law or a Science discipline (such as Biotechnology, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Physics, or Engineering) with a strong interest in intellectual property.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in preparing, filing, and prosecuting patent, trademark, copyright, and design applications. Maintain and update IP docketing systems, ensuring all deadlines are tracked and met. Conduct prior art, patentability, trademark, and freedom-to-operate searches using relevant databases. Prepare and organize documents for domestic and international IP filings. Coordinate with inventors, attorneys, agents, and external counsel to gather technical and legal information. Review official communications from patent and trademark offices and assist in preparing responses. Maintain IP portfolios, including filing records, assignments, renewals, annuities, and licensing documentation. Assist with IP due diligence, portfolio audits, and legal documentation. Prepare reports, presentations, and status updates on IP assets and filing activities. Ensure compliance with internal processes and applicable IP regulations. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B./LL.M.) or a Science discipline (Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Pharmacy, or a related field). Prior experience in intellectual property, patent support, or a related legal role (freshers with relevant internships may also be considered). Understanding of patent, trademark, and copyright procedures. Compensation: 225,000.00 - 500,000.00 per year
