Job Description

Overview

As a Senior Java Developer at Citi, you will be joining as an Assistant Vice President in a leadership role where you will design, develop, and implement complex Java applications within a fast-paced, agile environment. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Java applications using Java 8 and above. - Providing technical leadership and guidance to junior developers. - Participating in architectural discussions and contributing to technical decisions. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions. - Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code. - Conducting code reviews and ensuring adherence to coding standards. - Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. - Contributing to continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. - Staying up-to-date with the latest Java technologies and trends. - Promoting best practices in software development and engineering. - Contributing to the overall technical strategy and roadmap. Qualifications required for this role include: - 7+ years of experience in Java development, with strong proficiency in Java 8 and above. - Deep understanding of object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and data structures. - Experience with Agile methodologies and practices. - Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jira, TeamCity, Jenkins, and uDeploy. - Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes, OpenShift, and ECS. - Experience with Selenium, TestNG, JUnit. - Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as ELK and Grafana. - Experience with SQL Server, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch. - Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred skills for this role include experience with other cloud platforms (Azure, GCP), performance tuning and optimization, microservices architecture, financial services experience, and non-Java languages like .NET, C#, and Angular. Education requirement: Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
