Job Description
Spec & Design * Translate product requirements into precise, unambiguous technical specs * Define acceptance criteria that make AI-generated output easy to verify * Review and challenge architectural decisions (yours and the AI's) Ship Features * Use AI coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, etc.) to accelerate development * Build and enhance backend features using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Hibernate/JPA and another language (Python, ReactJs). * Refactor legacy components with AI assistance while owning the final quality Verify & Stabilize * Review AI-generated code critically - correctness, security, performance * Write and maintain unit and integration tests (JUnit) to validate AI output * Investigate and resolve production issues; perform root-cause analysis Collaborate & Mentor * Work with product, QA, and architecture teams to deliver clean releases * Help junior developers adopt AI-native workflows effectively
The Successful Applicant
Must Have
* 6+ years with Core Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, REST APIs * Hands-on experience with AI coding tools in daily development * AI-Native Fluency: * Understands how to constrain AI through context and requirements * Experience with LLM-based development patterns * Familiar with AI/ML architecture: RAG, embeddings, LLM orchestration * Strong ability to write clear technical specs and design documents for both humans and AI * Strong experience in writing unit and Integration test cases* Experience with relational databases: MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL * Proficiency with Git and Linux environments * Strong debugging and code review skills - able to spot AI mistakes quickly * Experience with Microservices architecture * Experience with multi-threading, concurrency, and distributed systems
