About the RoleKeystone International School is looking for a Junior Makerspace Educator to support the Idea Loom innovation space and work closely with students on hands-on learning, making, programming, robotics, electronics, and technology-based projects. The ideal candidate should have a basic technical foundation, a strong curiosity to learn, and an interest in building and experimenting with new ideas.
This role is suitable for both freshers and candidates with 12 years of experience who are excited about working in an innovation-focused environment and helping students turn their ideas into working prototypes.
Key ResponsibilitiesFacilitate hands-on activities and projects in the Idea Loom.Guide students in programming, robotics, electronics, microcontrollers, and physical computing projects.Support students in converting their ideas into prototypes and working models.Help students troubleshoot technical problems and encourage them to think, experiment, and find solutions independently.Work with technologies such as C/C++, Arduino, microcontrollers, sensors, motors, and basic electronics.Encourage students to follow a build, test, fail, learn, and improve approach.Explore new technologies, tools, and project ideas relevant to the makerspace.Assist in maintaining, organizing, and safely using makerspace equipment and materials.Collaborate with the school and innovation team to create engaging learning experiences for students.Continuously develop your own technical and maker skills through experimentation and hands-on learning.Required Skills & QualificationsBasic knowledge of C/C++ programming.Basic understanding of microcontrollers such as Arduino, ESP32, or similar platforms.Basic knowledge of robotics, sensors, actuators, electronics, and circuits.Interest in hands-on building, prototyping, and technology.Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Good communication skills and the ability to work patiently with students.Willingness to learn new technologies and work with unfamiliar tools.A creative, curious, and experimental mindset.Who We Are Looking ForWe are looking for someone who is not only technically interested but also excited to learn, build, experiment, and help students discover what they can create.
