PERIKALI, established in 2005, is a complete landscape firm specializing in design, installation, landscape infrastructure , comprehensive garden services, including maintenance and restoration. The company also manages retail and wholesale operations for plants, trees, hardscape materials, and offers horticultural consulting, tree surveys, and garden centre planning.
PERIKALI serves a wide range of Clients, from private residences and farmsteads to commercial offices, educational institutions, resorts, hotels, and public spaces. A core focus of the company is transplanting, maintaining a high Biodiversity index, maximizing native species, including diverse natural materials and heirloom varieties. PERIKALI values local craftsmanship, local materials, organic inputs, natural farming and horticultural methods. We are not a Factory and by that we do not want to finish every project in an assembly line, rather we pride ourselves as "Bringer of Life and Beauty".
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Landscape Architect role based in Chennai.
We love to plan, build and maintain our work so we may make a lasting impact in our Clients lives. This role will allow you to develop the practical on-site skills and hands-on approach that most Landscape Architects today do not possess. You will be well supported by a qualified team to assist you in all aspects. We appreciate growth and decay in all its aspects. We value observation as the primary requisite.
The Landscape Architect will develop concept designs, master plans, landscape layouts and detailed drawings for residential, commercial, institutional, and farm projects, aligning with PERIKALIs approach. Day-to-day responsibilities include site analysis, coordination with Clients and on-site teams, and verification of our landscape installations to ensure design intent and quality. The role involves selecting appropriate plant species and materials, integrating native and medicinal plants, preparing BOQs and cost estimates, and supporting project documentation and presentations. The Landscape Architect will also collaborate on tree-planting initiatives, garden restorations, farm management planning, and ongoing landscape improvements.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Landscape Architecture and Landscape Design.Candidates should possess skills in Landscape Planning and Landscaping, including site analysis and layout development.Candidates should possess skills in developing detailed Planting Plans and plant selection for diverse project types.Degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Environmental Design, or a related field.Proficiency in design and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, CAD-based software) and 3D rendering of landscape plans.Knowledge of Horticulture (we take pride in using a very large portfolio of plants), Native species, Natural materials (Stone).Strong visual, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively on-site with teams and clients.Ability to manage multiple projects, conduct site visits, and oversee implementation with attention to detail. .
