Job Role: Lead Analyst / Principal Analyst / Associate Director Credit Opportunities (Financial Research)Location: Hyderabad / Gurugram / BengaluruExperience: 5 yearsOur client is a global investment and technology development firm with more than 70 billion in investment capital as of June 1, 2025, and offices in North America, Europe, and Asia. They are looking for resourceful candidates to join our Credit Opportunities team within the Financial Research group, with the option to be based in Hyderabad, Gurugram, or Bengaluru depending on preference. The group works closely with various front office teams to provide high-quality, in-depth support to the investment research and decision-making processes of the firms global proprietary trading strategies. The Credit Opportunities team specifically undertakes fundamental credit analysis of corporate bond and loan issuers across geographies, collaborating with front office desks to objectively define the credit risk for these companies.WHAT YOU WILL DO DAY-TO-DAY:In this role, you will be expected to build and maintain detailed financial models comprising company financials, KPIs, capital structure, valuation, operational, and peer group analyses. Your responsibilities will include monitoring industry-level data, preparing concise summaries of company-specific nuances, and opining on their credit impact.You will be expected to work closely with front office analysts to assess corporate credit quality and iterate on financial models in a timely manner. Additionally, you will be required to monitor companies under coverage for earnings and other material developments. Other ad hoc projects may include preparing relative value tables, compiling data, and similar analyses. Over time, these responsibilities will expand to include industry coverage and providing due diligence insights to the front office team.WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:Basic Qualifications:An MBA in Finance or an equivalent professional qualification (CFA/CA), together with over 5 years of relevant experience and excellent fundamental corporate credit analysis skills.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:Exposure to high-yield, stressed, and distressed credits.We encourage candidates with relevant experience looking to restart their careers after a break to apply for this position.
