Lead Applied Artificial Intelligence Engineer

As a Lead Applied AI Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking - Architecture & Engineering team, you play a crucial role in developing trusted market-leading technology products in a secure and scalable manner. Your responsibilities include: - Executing creative software solutions, design, and development with a focus on innovative approaches - Developing secure high-quality production code and conducting code reviews - Identifying opportunities for automation to enhance operational stability - Providing strong leadership by guiding the team and leading evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams - Leading communities of practice to promote the adoption of new technologies Qualifications and skills required for this role are: - Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with at least 5 years of applied experience - Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability - Advanced proficiency in Python with AI/ML modeling and automation methods - Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and agile methodologies - Experience in AI/ML development, particularly with Generative AI or Agentic AI - Proficiency in AWS, ML/AI, and cloud native technologies Preferred qualifications include expertise in Agentic AI Models, SLM's, LRM's, and Model Finetuning.
