Role Overview
You will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of entire engineering solutions to accomplish business goals at Deutsche Bank. As a Business Functional Analyst (BFA) within the Treasury Technology Team in India, your key objective will be to bridge the gap between stakeholder needs and the technical delivery team to successfully deliver projects in an agile manner. You will be heavily involved in all stages of the software delivery lifecycle, from initial scoping and planning exercises to collaboration with the IT team to deliver working software. Your role will also involve writing user stories in JIRA, working effectively with stakeholders, and wearing the hat of a QA by writing BDD test cases as acceptance criteria. You will be expected to demonstrate strong understanding of investment banking, technology, and domain, enabling and driving Agile ways of working on both the technology and business sides. Additionally, you will be responsible for defining business requirements, facilitating collaboration, and ensuring the quality of requirement documents.
Key Responsibilities

- Demonstrate strong understanding of investment banking and technology
- Work with various Business, Technology, and other stakeholders to arrive at product delivery roadmap
- Provide strong functional expertise and support to testing and RTB teams
- Review business cases, feasibility studies, and estimates
- Define testing requirements with QA & Testing Team and clients
- Support and mentor other Business Functional Analysts
- Manage backlog and prioritize tasks
- Lead and collaborate across teams
- Build productive networks for collaboration and knowledge sharing
- Communicate complex messages clearly and concisely
- Create a culture of learning and continuous improvement
- Share skills and knowledge related to software delivery
Qualification Required:
- 15+ years' experience in banking or finance domain
- Good domain knowledge of investment banking, securities market, and trade lifecycle
- Understanding of Treasury operations within a bank
- Adherence to compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures
- Experience with reference data within a bank
- Familiarity with scaled agile and PO roles
- Strong experience in business and functional analysis in investment banking
- Certifications such as CFA, FRM, PSPO, CSPO, SAFe, or equivalent (desirable)
- Data analysis skills with experience in SQL, Excel, and Access
- Experience with requirement collection tools like JIRA and Confluence
- Experience working with surveillance applications within Compliance (a plus)
