About the Role Our client is actively seeking a seasoned and dedicated Lead Claims Adjuster to manage and oversee the Property & Casualty claims department in Patna, Bihar . This senior position requires a proactive individual with extensive experience in investigating, evaluating, and settling complex insurance claims. The Lead Claims Adjuster will be responsible for ensuring timely, fair, and accurate claim resolution while upholding the company's commitment to excellent customer service. You will also play a key role in training and mentoring junior adjusters, developing claims handling best practices, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the claims process. Key Responsibilities Investigate, assess, and determine liability for complex property and casualty insurance claims. Manage a caseload of high-value and intricate claims from initial report to final settlement. Conduct thorough reviews of policy coverage, endorsements, and exclusions. Communicate effectively with policyholders, witnesses, legal counsel, and other involved parties. Negotiate settlements within established authority limits, ensuring fairness and cost-effectiveness. Prepare detailed reports documenting claim investigations, findings, and recommendations. Supervise and mentor a team of claims adjusters, providing guidance on claim handling and best practices. Monitor claims trends and provide insights to management for process improvements and loss prevention strategies. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies in Patna, Bihar . Participate in litigation management when necessary, working closely with legal teams. Requirements Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Law, Business, or a related discipline. Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience as a Claims Adjuster, with a significant portion in a leadership or supervisory capacity. Demonstrated expertise in handling a wide range of property and casualty claims, including auto, home, and commercial losses. In-depth knowledge of insurance principles, claims investigation techniques, and legal procedures. Proven negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
