About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Data Management Analyst
In this role, you will:
- Organize and lead complex companywide initiatives to ensure that data quality is maintained so that data can effectively support business processes
- Oversee analysis and reporting in support of regulatory requirements
- Identify and recommend analysis of data quality or integrity issues
- Evaluate data quality metrics and data quality audits to benchmark the state of data quality
- Make decisions in complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of data governance standards and procedures
- Identify new data sources and develop recommendations for assessing the quality of new data
- Lead project teams and mentor less experienced staff members
- Recommend remediation of process or control gaps that align to management strategy
- Serve as relationship manager for a line of business
- Consult with and provide recommendations to senior management regarding assessments of the current state of data and metadata quality within area of assigned responsibility
- Represent client in cross-functional groups to develop companywide data governance strategies
- Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to coordinate and drive collaboration on solution design and remediation execution
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- +5 years of experience in Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality, Metadata Management, and Data Lifecycle Management.
- Strong expertise in Data Management policies, standards, procedures, controls, and governance frameworks.
- Good understanding of industry best practices, including data governance operating models, risk management, compliance requirements, and data stewardship.
- Proven experience supporting and leading data management and governance initiatives across multiple business functions.
- Strong knowledge of data quality management, data lineage, metadata management, master data management (MDM), and governance controls.
- Experience leveraging AI, automation, analytics, and process optimization tools such as Alteryx, Power Platform, Python, Power BI, and related technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to independently drive projects, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, tracking, risk management, stakeholder coordination, and reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into practical data management solutions.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence business partners and leadership.
- Proven ability to develop executive-ready presentations, dashboards, scorecards, and reporting materials that effectively communicate governance and business outcomes.
- Experience driving process improvements and operational excellence through automation and standardization initiatives.
- Ability to mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative, high-performance team environment.

- Demonstrate strong communication, presentation, and storytelling skills, translating complex data management concepts into actionable insights for stakeholders and leadership.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, promoting accountability, knowledge sharing, collaboration, and continuous learning.
