Scope of Role
powertrain, Fuel System
Area of Responsibility
Own technical delivery and design maturity for fuel commodities including tanks, pumps, lines, rails, filters, valves, and associated hardwareDefine system and componentlevel requirements, interfaces, and specificationsDrive fuel system architecture, packaging, and vehicle integration activitiesEnsure compliance with emission, safety, and regulatory standards (global and OEMspecific)Lead design reviews, technical decisionmaking, and engineering change managementOwn and execute DVP&R, validation, and durability testing for fuel systemsLead DFMEA, risk assessments, and corrective actions for fuel system componentsCoordinate crossfunctional teams (vehicle integration, NVH, thermal, emissions, manufacturing, purchasing)Manage supplier technical development, reviews, and issue resolutionSupport industrialization, manufacturing rampup, and launch readinessAct as the primary technical interface to OEM customers for fuel system topics
Knowledge / Experience 6 to 8 Years
Essential:
Preferred / Added AdvantageExperience with ICE, Hybrid, or FlexFuel powertrain applicationsExposure to fuel system validation testing and vehicle buildsKnowledge of manufacturing, assembly, and service considerationsTechnical & Domain ExpertiseFuel System Components:Fuel tanks (plastic/metal), pumps, modulesFuel lines, connectors, rails, filters, valvesMountings, brackets, and protective componentsStrong understanding of:Emission and evaporative systemsThermal, vibration, and durability requirementsVehicle packaging and integration constraintsKnowledge of applicable standards and regulations:Fuel system safety and emission regulationsOEMspecific powertrain standardsAwareness of functional safety and validation methodologiesAutomotive domain knowledge with working experience of Fuel System.Timely S/T/P releases by ensuring right information of CAD data is produced with BOM, weight management.Understanding of commodity release & change managementUnderstanding of Proto & Production BOM , build support,Excellent CATIA V5 and CATIA V6Exposure to PLM tools such as TeamCenter.
Qualification:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering or related discipline. .
