Lead Software Engineer - DevOps and Python

As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate and Investment Bank, Electronic Trading Technology, you will play a crucial role in an agile team dedicated to enhancing, building, and delivering trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. You will be a core technical contributor responsible for implementing critical technology solutions across various technical areas to support the firm's business objectives.

- Develop, implement, support, and maintain a growing benchmark algorithmic trading platform & liquidity seeking and crossing platform of Asian markets. - Contribute significantly to the front office trading team by providing pre and post-trade analysis and designing algorithmic trading strategies & smart order routing strategies. - Collaborate with development teams to design and build algorithmic trading strategies, trading platforms, and internalization strategies for multiple business silos while ensuring the robustness of the trading platform & market-sensitive dark pools. - Integrate reliability into the software development lifecycle by promoting best practices in coding, testing, and deployment. - Understand client trading requirements and translate them into customized algorithmic trading strategies, setting up A/B experimental flows to evaluate performance. - Ensure smooth trading flow by collaborating with upstream Client Onboarding team, Order Management team, Exchange Connectivity team, and Data Quality team. - Lead impact analysis and actions on APAC cash exchange mandatory events, working with business and tech application teams to implement changes effectively. - Automate tasks and processes to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention. - Lead incident response efforts, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. - Contribute to the development and maintenance of documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures for system operations and incident management. - Engage with cross-functional teams to promote reliability, resilience, and operational excellence, working with financial data. Qualification Required: - Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with at least 5 years of applied experience. - Familiarity with electronic trading systems and controls. - In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and IT systems. - Hands-on experience in electronic trading systems, site reliability engineering, or related fields. - Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages like Python, Bash, etc. - Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle, agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security. - Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.).
