Lead Software Engineer (Java Developer)

You will be leading software engineering projects and driving the development of enhanced software solutions. Your responsibilities will include researching alternative technical solutions for evolving business needs and ensuring that the team's daily activities meet SLA requirements. You will collaborate with business and technical partners to identify opportunities, outline potential value, and manage complex issues within your area of expertise.

- Lead major projects with broad scope and long-term business implications, ensuring high levels of innovation, cost-effectiveness, quality, and faster time to market - Develop strategic technical plans, create architecture proposals, and lead the implementation of technical solutions - Research current and upcoming technologies, recommend appropriate frameworks, and assist in technology selection - Partner with Project Managers to implement evolving processes and define technical scope and requirements - Lead Quality Assurance and Control processes, ensuring adequate test coverage and compliance with standards - Mentor and guide team members during all phases of the software development lifecycle - Lead production incident and problem management, mentor project team members, and provide technical training - Ensure compliance with defined standards, modify and enhance standards as needed, and develop documentation templates

- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering, or equivalent experience - 5 to 8 years of experience in a related field, with a preference for experience in delivering secure solutions in the Financial Services Sector - Advanced knowledge of Software Engineering Concepts and Methodologies - Ability to function under pressure, demonstrate high energy, detail-orientation, and initiative - Strong communication, relationship-building, collaboration, and organizational skills - Quick learning ability to implement new technologies, frameworks, and tools, and manage multiple concurrent activities effectively Additional Company Details (if present): Mastercard expects all employees to take responsibility for information security by abiding by security policies, ensuring confidentiality and integrity of accessed information, reporting any security violations, and completing mandatory security trainings.
