NEC Software Solutions is hiring a Lead Test Analyst for Test Automation role. The position involves designing and executing automated tests using modern tools like C#, Selenium, Playwright, and Azure DevOps. The successful candidate will work with product and development teams to implement test automation frameworks, drive CI/CD practices, and ensure high quality standards across various products.
The role requires 6-10 years of test automation experience and involves both technical implementation and team leadership responsibilities.

Role Summary The Lead Test Analyst - Test Automation will play a pivotal role in helping the organisation move towards a truly continuous integration and continuous deployment environment. You will work with product and development teams to analyse, design and execute automated tests across a range of modern products built on Microsoft .NET technology. Reporting to the QA Manager and working alongside the Test Lead, you will drive quality standards and grow your role over time to cover a larger variety of products across NEC SWS.
Key Responsibilities Drive the implementation of modern test automation frameworks and tools.
Oversee test architecture, ensuring scalability and maintainability of automation solutions.
Promote shift-left testing practices and support developers in embedding quality.
Implement automation frameworks for middleware and backend service-based applications in critical infrastructure design.
Design and execute automated tests on the latest revisions of the software.
Participate in the development of the automated testing framework, supporting the move towards automated testing in a CI/CD environment.
Interpret requirements from existing manual test cases and specification documents.
Liaise with Manual Testers and/or Business Analysts to understand requirements.
Liaise with product and development teams to ensure the backlog is up to date.
Provide estimates regarding the test effort required to complete work.
Raise bugs and liaise with the development team from discovery through to resolution.
Set up and configure the testing environment and associated databases.
Prepare and share test execution reports with stakeholders.
Review and automate existing manual test cases.
Required Technical Skills And
Experience 6 to 10 years of experience in Test Automation using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Appium, Mocha, etc.
Experience with C#, JavaScript, and/or TypeScript.
Experience developing and executing automated test cases for User Interfaces.
Knowledge of software development in web and desktop environments.

Desirable Skills And Experience
Experience using Azure DevOps.
Experience using Selenium and Playwright or equivalent tools.
Experience using BrowserStack or equivalent cloud-based testing tools.
Experience with reporting libraries such as Extent, Allure, etc.
Usage of latest AI tools.
Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines.
Experience testing User Interfaces and databases.
ISTQB/ISEB Foundation certification or equivalent, or working towards it.
Experience coordinating with external or offshore QA resources.
Education Graduate degree required. .
