As a Leveraged Finance Analyst, you will be responsible for underwriting new cash flow LBO and private equity-backed transactions, as well as managing portfolio activities within the Sponsor Finance Group.ResponsibilitiesAssisting the deal team in the due diligence process for new cash flow transactions, inclusive of both financial and qualitative due diligencePreparing pre-screen memos and credit approval documents for presentation to credit committeePreparing financial modelsAssisting in the closing process on new transactionsManagement and ongoing monitoring of portfolio accountsSkillsBachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent work experience1-2 years of experience in leveraged finance at a commercial bank, investment bank or finance company with strong commercial credit experienceSuperior written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical skills and proficiency with financial statement modelingExperience underwriting middle market cash flow transactionsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with limited supervisionGraduate of a formalized credit training program is preferred but not requiredBenefitsThis position is eligible for incentive compensationCompany OverviewWebster is a commercial bank that provides a range of personal and commercial banking services across several states.
