Role Overview
As a Mainframe Manual QA Engineer at Deutsche Bank - Private Bank, your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and execute test scripts specifically for mainframe applications. You will collaborate with Development, Business Analysts, and QA teams to ensure quality and performance of mainframe-based applications. Changes are often announced on short notice, and your focus will be on maintaining quality and stability while meeting time to market challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Script Creation and Maintenance: Perform functional tests and develop automated test scripts for regression tests in mainframe environments. Continuously improve and update existing tests.
- Test Execution and Analysis: Execute test scripts, analyze test results to identify defects, and areas for improvement.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with Business Analysts, Test/Product Managers, and Developers to understand application requirements and use cases.
- Documentation and Reporting: Document test cases, scripts, and processes.
Qualifications Required
- Technical Proficiency: Experience in mainframe with COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2/SQL & MQ. Knowledge of test automation tools such as Selenium, UFT, TOSCA, and ALM, Jira, Confluence is advantageous.
- Quality Assurance and Testing: Understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional and regression testing.
- Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve issues within test automation frameworks and scripts.
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with Agile/SCRUM environment, including agile tooling and methodology, and knowledge of investment business and its operations.
