Maintenance Head

• Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for machinery, equipment, utilities, electrical systems, and other plant assets.
  • Lead the maintenance team and allocate manpower effectively to ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
  • Monitor machine breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurring failures.
  • Ensure maximum equipment availability, reliability, and operational efficiency while minimizing unplanned downtime.
  • Maintain adequate stock of critical spare parts, tools, and maintenance consumables in coordination with the Stores and Purchase departments.
  • Prepare and monitor maintenance budgets, control costs, and optimize the use of manpower, materials, and resources.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, statutory requirements, electrical safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Coordinate with Production, Quality, Stores, Purchase, and Engineering departments for smooth plant operations.
  • Maintain proper records of breakdowns, preventive maintenance, spare parts consumption, equipment history, and maintenance KPIs.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as TPM, 5S, Kaizen, and energy-saving projects to improve equipment performance and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Manage external contractors and service providers for specialized maintenance, machinery installation, and technical services.
  • Support new machinery installation, commissioning, modification, and plant expansion projects.

  The Maintenance Head ensures safe, reliable, cost-effective, and uninterrupted plant operations through strong technical leadership and effective maintenance management.

• Candidate must have the knowledge of Mechanical/Electrical/PLC/CNC VMC machining process, Hot forming & Heat treatment, Spinning process.
• The candidate having experience in engineering industry.
