We have an exciting opportunity to join our Tax Reporting team in Global Finance Services as a manager and be responsible for the preparation of corporate income tax, indirect tax, employment tax returns, tax provisioning and reconciliation of tax balance sheet accounts. The role also involves the reporting and analysis of the Groups effective tax rate and also involves working closely with various stakeholders in performing detailed reviews as well as ensuring delivery of tax returns and other reporting obligations. In this role, you will be assisting the Regional Tax Reporting function in delivering its compliance and reporting tasks. You will perform reviews of tax returns and payments in region and reconciliation of income tax expense and deferred tax balances, and internal reporting of tax accounting information to the team. You will have an understanding of operational risks and ensuring controls meet internal risks policies. You will support global strategic, tactical and operational initiatives: and IT system and source data changes required to drive operational excellence in tax reporting function. You will also be responsible for close interactions with financial control, tax advisory, legal entity controllers, the Risk Management Group, Information Technology group and project management office to service Macquarie tax reporting requirements. You will also be responsible for application and documentation of internal tax policies and procedures. To be successful in this role, you will be a qualified CA, CPA (or equivalent) with over 6 years experience in finance / tax reporting roles and have relevant experience in global tax accounting and compliance roles. You will demonstrate an understanding of key corporate tax principles and have broad financial accounting knowledge. You will have strong people management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, and guide team members on key priorities. You will show strong adherence to timelines and attention to detail and have a good understanding of data flows, source systems and general ledger and ability to respond to internal and external requests/enquiries in a timely and professional manner. Any tax accounting experience with IFRS experience is preferable. You will be responsible to continuous drive to find and deliver on opportunities to improve the business.
