Role Overview
You will be responsible for leading and managing the payroll operations team as a Manager/Senior Manager Payroll. Your role will involve overseeing the end-to-end US payroll processing with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. This onsite-only position requires strong client-handling skills and leadership qualities to effectively manage a team of 10-15 members.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complete end-to-end US payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
- Monitor payroll cycles, tax updates, garnishments, deductions, benefits, and adjustments.
- Ensure adherence to US federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 8-15 payroll associates.
- Conduct regular team reviews, performance discussions, and training sessions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for US clients regarding payroll queries, escalations, and process improvements.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication and service excellence.
- Ensure payroll processes follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory guidelines.
- Identify gaps and implement improvements for accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HR, Finance, Compliance) for issue resolution.
Qualifications Required
- 7+ years of experience in US payroll, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong experience handling end-to-end payroll processes.
- Proven experience managing a team of 10-15 members.
- Excellent client-handling, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in night shift and handle US stakeholders effectively.
- Robust knowledge of payroll compliance, tax regulations, and statutory requirements in the US.
