01Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and track vessel voyage periods using voyage management systems, AIS data, and operational reports.
- Maintain accurate logs of voyage commencement, delays, deviations, port calls, and completion to identify claim triggers (e.g., off-hire events, groundings, collisions).
- Assist in the evaluation of claims by comparing voyage records with charter party terms, insurance policy coverage, and incident timelines.
- Coordinate with operations, crewing, and technical teams to gather voyage-related data for claims support.
- Flag discrepancies or anomalies in voyage data that may impact claim validity or value.
- Assist in preparing documentation for underwriters, brokers, and legal advisors in relation to claims.
- Maintain updated records of all claims involving voyage period considerations, ensuring timely reporting and follow-up.
- Support subrogation, recovery, and litigation processes by providing voyage-related evidence.
- Liaise with P&I; clubs and H&M; insurers regarding incident timelines and coverage matters.
- Prepare periodic reports on voyage-monitoring trends and their impact on claims.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Robust understanding of marine insurance principles, including P&I; and Hull & Machinery.
- Familiarity with vessel operations, charter party terms, and voyage documentation.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in tracking and recording time-sensitive data.
- Good communication and coordination skills across departments and with external stakeholders.
- Proficient in MS Excel, voyage tracking systems, and marine databases (e.g., AIS platforms).
