Mechanical Handling Design Engineer at Bangalore

Responsible for package engineering activities on various mechanical handling equipment and packages:
Prepare and issuance of technical specifications
Prepare and issuance of equipment list
Vendor selection process (interface with supply chain, review offers and issue TBE, participate to bid clarification meetings)
PO execution: package engineer (accountable for compliance with specs)
Responsible for overall technical aspects of the package and involvement for the complete cycle Pre-PO, Post PO, FAT, Safety studies, Engineering support to yard for commissioning.
Responsible for multi-disciplinary interface related to the package.
Hands-on experience working with various mechanical handling equipment and packages Cranes, Monorail hoists (manual/powered), chain pulley blocks, deck trolleys, davits, miscellaneous handling/lifting equipment.
Additionally, experience on package engineering in static and/or rotating equipment like pressure vessels, pumps, utility packages used in offshore oil and gas as added advantage.
Good knowledge of multi-disciplinary interface aspects.
Good knowledge of international codes and standards.
Job requirements:
Academic : Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Mechanical
Exp: Minimum 8 -20 years experience in Static/rotating/handling equipment and packages in oil and gas
Minimum 5 years mechanical handling study with 2 project experience
Minimum 3 years mechanical handling experience in Offshore oil and gas
Minimum 1 FPSO project experience is preferred
SW or tools: AutoCAD, Navisworks 3D Simulate and Manage, Aveva E3D, MS Tools (PPT
