01Key Responsibilities
Claim Submission: Prepare and submit clean claims to insurance companies electronically.
Coding Verification: Review ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for orthopedic and spine surgeries.
Denial Management: Identify denial patterns, file appeals, and resolve claim discrepancies.
AR Follow-Up: Monitor accounts receivable reports and pursue unpaid claims past 30 days.
Required Qualifications
Location: Must currently reside in the state of Florida.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of medical billing experience specifically in Orthopedics and Spine.
Software: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience using eClinicalWorks (eCW).
Surgical Knowledge: Strong understanding of complex spine surgery coding, global periods, and modifiers (e.g., modifiers 51, 59, 62).
Workspace: A dedicated, quiet home office with high-speed internet.
Skills & Competencies
Excellent knowledge of commercial insurance, Medicare, Workers' Comp, and Personal Injury Protection (PIP).
Strong communication skills to speak with insurance adjusters.
High accuracy in data entry and strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
