Key Responsibilities Examine and process medical insurance claims for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with policy guidelines. Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and eligibility using claims processing software. Interpret and apply medical codes (ICD-10, CPT) and understand medical terminology. Determine benefits payable, identify discrepancies, and process adjustments or denials as needed. Communicate with healthcare providers, policyholders, and internal departments to resolve claim issues. Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Claims Examiner or in a related medical billing/coding role. Strong understanding of medical insurance terminology, coding systems (ICD-10, CPT), and claims processing procedures. Proficiency with claims management software and electronic health records (EHR). Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. Good written and verbal communication abilities. High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a relevant field is a plus.
