HK Consultancy is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Certified Medical Coder with a focus on biotechnology to join our dynamic team. As a Medical Coder, you will be responsible for translating medical diagnoses, procedures, and services into universally accepted alphanumeric codes. This role is ideal for recent biotech graduates who are passionate about leveraging their academic background in a practical and impactful way within the healthcare industry.
Key Responsibilities
Coding and Documentation: Accurately assign medical codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services in compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.Data Review: Review and verify the accuracy of coding and documentation, ensuring proper data capture and reporting.Compliance: Ensure adherence to coding standards, healthcare regulations, and payer requirements.Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare professionals and administrative staff to clarify documentation and coding issues.Reporting: Generate and maintain coding reports and documentation for internal use and regulatory compliance.Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest coding practices, regulatory changes, and biotechnology advancements.Required Skills and Qualifications
Certification: Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) preferred.Education: Bachelor degree in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, or a related field.Technical Skills: Proficiency in coding software and medical coding systems.Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve coding and documentation discrepancies effectively.Experience
Experience Level: Entry-level position suitable for recent graduates or those with less than 1 year of relevant experience in medical coding or biotechnology.Working Hours
