Medical Coding Fresher

Job Description:

• Review patient medical records and clinical documentation.
• Assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on documentation.
• Ensure coding follows official coding guidelines and company/client requirements.
• Identify diagnoses, procedures, and services documented in patient charts.
• Maintain accuracy, productivity, and quality standards.
• Resolve coding discrepancies and seek clarification when documentation is unclear.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA/privacy requirements.
• Participate in training, audits, and quality-improvement activities.

Eligibility:

• Graduate in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or a related field.
• Medical Coding certification such as CPC, CCS, or CCA is often preferred, but some fresher roles provide training.
• Good knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work in shifts, depending on the employer/client.
