About the roleInfosys BPM is seeking a motivated Merchant Risk Analyst (Australian Card Disputes & Chargeback) to join its Bangalore centre. The role focuses on managing payment disputes, chargebacks and merchant risk while ensuring compliance with Australian financial service regulations and cardscheme rules.Key responsibilitiesAdminister chargeback and direct debit claim processes in line with scheme rules and internal policies.Respond to merchant, banking partner and stakeholder enquiries related to disputes.Review and investigate transaction disputes, fraud alerts and suspicious activities.Monitor merchant transaction activity and escalate potential risks.Support risk investigations and periodic merchant reviews.Ensure timely responses to payment schemes to maximise recovery and minimise losses.Assess merchant activity for risk, compliance and acceptability.Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on dispute and fraud matters.Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives.Required profileAny graduate (fulltime) with 12 years of relevant experience.Immediate joiners or availability within 15 days.Flexible to work any shift; workfromoffice is mandatory.Prior experience with Australian paymentdispute processes is essential.Strong analytical, problemsolving and attentiontodetail abilities.Required skillsUnderstanding of payment disputes, chargebacks, fraud prevention and risk management.Ability to interpret transactional data and identify unusual patterns.Strong verbal and written communication skills. .
