Overview

As a Middle Office Officer at State Street, you will lead a team supporting a global premier investment management client. Your role will involve managing day-to-day transactional responsibilities in a fast-paced, flexible, and exciting environment. It is essential for you to initiate and develop strong communication and interpersonal relationships with business operations teams and IT to maintain the high level of service provided to all clients. Your key responsibilities will include: - Managing the corresponding team for responsible client(s) - Overseeing middle office functions such as trade lifecycle, settlements, reconciliations, reporting, and exception management - Implementing and monitoring risk mitigation controls and best practices - Acting as the audit lead for internal, statutory, and regulatory audits - Serving as the key point of contact for daily operations and SLA adherence - Identifying and executing opportunities for automation and digitization - Building effective cross-functional relationships with various stakeholders - Leading and developing a team of middle office analysts and senior associates To succeed in this role, you should possess: - Strong knowledge of trade lifecycle management, reconciliations, and settlements - In-depth understanding of the asset management industry - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills - Hands-on experience with process mapping, SOP documentation, and audit compliance - Client-centric attitude and strong leadership skills - Good team working skills and commercial acumen Qualifications required: - Degree in finance, business, technology, or equivalent - In-depth understanding of Middle Office operations or related financial services functions - Hands-on experience or working knowledge of Aladdin preferred - Strong exposure to risk and control frameworks, audit handling, and process transformation - Proven experience in client communication and interaction at all levels - Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced investment environment - Familiarity with tools like Excel/VBA, Power BI/Tableau, Alteryx, RPA platforms (UiPath/Blue Prism) - Strong English written and spoken ability About State Street: State Street is a global institution where institutional investors rely on the company to help manage risk, respond to challenges, and drive performance and profitability.
