About the Role
Google is seeking a highly skilled Molecular Biology Scientist with expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Python programming to support cutting-edge research and data-driven initiatives at the intersection of life sciences and technology. The ideal candidate will combine deep molecular biology knowledge with computational and machine learning capabilities to analyze complex biological datasets, develop predictive models, and contribute to innovative solutions in genomics and biomedical research.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply molecular biology expertise to solve complex biological and research problems.
- Develop and implement AI/ML models for biological, genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, and multi-omics datasets.
- Perform large-scale biological data analysis using Python and modern data science tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, software engineers, and research scientists.
- Design, execute, and interpret biological experiments and computational analyses.
- Build data pipelines and automate workflows for biological data processing.
- Evaluate and optimize machine learning algorithms for biological applications.
- Analyze scientific literature and translate research findings into actionable insights.
- Present findings, methodologies, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of scalable solutions that accelerate biological research and discovery.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Molecular Biology, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Genetics, Genomics, Biotechnology, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of industry, postdoctoral, or research experience.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Computational Biology or Bioinformatics research.

- Experience working with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI applications in life sciences.
