We are seeking a highly skilled MongoDB Administrator to join our technology team and manage mission-critical MongoDB database environments.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, scalability, and security of MongoDB databases deployed across on-premises and cloud platforms.
You will work closely with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to optimize database performance, implement automation, and maintain high availability for business-critical applications.
This role requires strong expertise in MongoDB architecture, replication, sharding, backup and recovery, database performance tuning, and cloud-based database administration.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, upgrade, and administer MongoDB databases across development, testing, and production environments.
Design, implement, and maintain highly available MongoDB Replica Sets and Sharded Clusters.
Monitor database health, performance, and availability using monitoring and observability tools.
Perform capacity planning and optimize database configurations for maximum performance and scalability.
Configure and maintain database indexing strategies to improve query performance.
Analyze slow queries and optimize aggregation pipelines for enhanced application performance.
Develop and maintain automated backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures.
Perform database recovery activities and validate backup integrity through regular testing.
Implement security best practices including authentication, authorization, encryption, and auditing.
Troubleshoot database issues related to replication, connectivity, storage, performance, and application integration.
Automate routine database administration tasks using Shell Scripting, Bash, Python, or automation tools.
Work closely with DevOps teams to support CI/CD deployments and database release management.
Manage MongoDB deployments on cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
