01Responsibilities
Monitoring the SQL Server instances and other data repositories in the SCA environmentEnsuring the backups of SQL Server instances are completed successfully, troubleshooting backup failures, and verifying the backups are completeEnsuring that the access to SQL Servers and other data repositories is implemented and maintained according to SCA, Industry, HIPPA, and SOX security guidelines and regulationsEnsuring that SQL Servers that are maintained by vendors or local IT resources are maintained following SCA, Industry, HIPPA, and SOX guidelines and regulationsTuning SQL Servers and other data repositories to ensure optimum response and resource utilizationRotating through administrative functions and cross training with the Data operations teamFollowing change management processes for all database related changes and deploymentsDocumenting and adhering to standard procedures and best practicesComply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do soRequired Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems, or equivalent, with 5+ years practical experience in a live business environment4+ years of experience supporting SQL Server in a cloud environmentKnowledge of relational database concepts, modern data warehousing concepts, Microsoft SQL Server 2016 and higher, T-SQL, SSIS, and SSRSUnderstanding of basic ASC systems, data structures, and accounting implementationsAI First mindsetAbility to operate a computer for prolonged periods of timeProven ability to clearly explain technical issues to non-technical individualsProven proactive, decisive, action-oriented individual with solid written and verbal communication skillsProven excellent interpersonal, collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation skillsProven ability to be broadly focused on multiple efforts concurrentlyProven ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization; including staff, business stakeholders, and all levels of managementAbility to travel occasionally, as needed
