About Position: We are seeking an experienced Nest.js, Node.js & TypeScript Back Office Developer to join our engineering team and take ownership of our Maas platform's back-office systems. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, internal tools, and business-critical workflows while ensuring code quality, system reliability, and operational excellence. Role: Nest.js Back Office Engineer Location: Pune / Bangalore Experience: 5+ Years Job Type: Full-Time Employment What You'll Do: You will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust backend systems that power critical business operations, enabling seamless data processing, integrations, and workflow automation. Design and implement scalable server-side applications using Node.js and TypeScript Develop and maintain back-office tools that manage complex business workflows and data processing Build and optimize integrations with third-party services and APIs Collaborate with frontend teams to integrate user-facing applications with backend services Design and develop RESTful APIs following best practices Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following SOLID principles, Design Patterns, and DRY methodology Champion Clean Code practices and promote engineering excellence across the team Develop comprehensive Unit and Integration tests to maintain high system reliability Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development standards and engineering processes Ensure high code quality through automated testing and continuous integration practices Maintain backend system stability, scalability, and performance Ensure data integrity and reliable execution of internal business processes Support CI/CD implementations and deployment automation Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions Expertise You'll Bring: You are a passionate backend engineer with strong experience building enterprise-grade applications using modern JavaScript/TypeScript technologies and cloud-native development practices. Strong experience with NestJS in enterprise or production environments Hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript application development Strong experience working with NX Monorepo Architecture Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines Working knowledge of Kubernetes (K8s) environments Proven experience applying SOLID Principles, Design Patterns, and Clean Code practices Strong experience with Unit Testing and Integration Testing Experience designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs Good knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Deep understanding of Node.js asynchronous programming and event loop architecture Experience developing scalable backend systems in high-volume environments Knowledge of ReactJS and ability to contribute to frontend development when required Familiarity with modern cloud-native architectures and deployment practices Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
