Network Migration Engineer AP Installation Focus

We are seeking a hands-on Network Migration Engineer to support Cisco network migration and deployment activities in Bengaluru, India, with a strong focus on Wireless Access Point (AP) installation. The role will involve pre-migration, migration, and post-migration activities, including Cisco device installation, rack and stack, structured cabling, AP replacement, labelling, troubleshooting, and documentation. Key Responsibilities Install and replace Cisco Wireless Access Points (WAPs/APs) at customer sites.Perform physical mounting of APs, including installation of suitable anchors and fixings.Remove legacy wireless access points and install new Cisco APs.Install, label, and connect AP-related cables according to customer-provided documentation.Perform rack and stack of Cisco switches and other network equipment.Assist with Cisco IOS upgrades and basic device configuration.Install, label, and reconnect patch cords and uplink cables as per port mapping sheets.Assist with troubleshooting during migration activities.Perform BOM verification, equipment checks, asset labelling, and hostname labelling.Remove and package legacy network equipment after migration.Maintain accurate documentation and complete post-migration quality checks.Follow customer SOPs, safety procedures, and hardware handling requirements. Required Experience 24 years of experience in network deployment, migration, or infrastructure support.Strong hands-on experience with Cisco AP/Wireless Access Point installation.Experience working in data centres, communication rooms, or enterprise customer sites.Hands-on experience with rack and stack and structured cabling.Basic knowledge of Cisco IOS and network device configuration.Ability to follow port mapping sheets and technical documentation.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Good attention to detail.Willingness to work weekend migration windows and different shifts. Preferred Qualifications CCNA/CCNP or equivalent Cisco certification.BICSI Installer or CNCI certification.Experience with enterprise network migration projects.Knowledge of structured cabling and cable management.Experience with data centre environments and ESD/hardware handling. .
