About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer (L3) to join our enterprise networking team and support the design, implementation, optimization, and troubleshooting of complex global network environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in routing, switching, SDWAN, network security, and enterprise infrastructure operations, with the ability to manage critical incidents and drive network transformation initiatives.
This role offers exposure to large-scale enterprise networks, advanced security technologies, network modernization programs, and collaboration with global stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Network Design & Operations
Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across data centers, branch offices, cloud, and hybrid environments.
Manage and support Cisco routers, switches, wireless infrastructure, Palo Alto firewalls, and WAN technologies.
Configure, optimize, and troubleshoot routing and switching environments involving BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VLANs, VSS, and network segmentation.
Support SDWAN deployments, primarily Versa SDWAN, including configuration, implementation, and troubleshooting.
Incident Management & Troubleshooting
Perform advanced L2/L3 troubleshooting for complex network incidents.
Conduct packet analysis, root cause analysis, and performance diagnostics.
Ensure timely resolution of incidents while adhering to defined SLAs and operational standards.
Participate in major incident management and escalation processes.
Network Security
Implement and manage enterprise security solutions including:
Palo Alto Firewalls
Cisco ASA Firewalls
Site-to-Site VPNs
Remote Access VPNs
Network Access Controls
Maintain firewall policies, security standards, and network segmentation strategies.
Support security and compliance requirements, including PCI-regulated environments.
Performance & Optimization
Monitor network performance and availability across global environments.
Drive proactive improvements to network stability, reliability, and bandwidth optimization.
Support capacity planning and IP address management activities.
Recommend architecture enhancements and costoptimization opportunities.
Documentation & Collaboration
Maintain accurate network documentation, architecture diagrams, SOPs, and incident reports.
Collaborate with global teams, vendors, and business stakeholders for network enhancements and issue resolution.
Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and knowledge sharing for junior engineers.
Automation & Innovation
Contribute to network automation initiatives using Python, Ansible, and related tools.
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation and process optimization.
Required Skills & Experience
Networking
7+ years of handson experience in enterprise network engineering or L3 network operations.
Strong expertise in:
BGP
OSPF
EIGRP
MPLS
Routing & Switching
VLANs
VSS
WAN Technologies
SDWAN
Handson experience with SDWAN technologies.
Versa SDWAN experience strongly preferred.
Security
Strong experience with:
Palo Alto Firewalls
Cisco ASA
VPN Technologies
Firewall Policy Management
Network Security Operations
Wireless & Infrastructure
Experience with enterprise wireless controllers and wireless networking environments.
Exposure to large-scale enterprise and data center networks.
Troubleshooting
Expertise in:
L3 troubleshooting
Packet captures and analysis
Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
Incident and Problem Management
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting PCIcompliant or highly regulated environments.
Exposure to cloud networking and hybrid infrastructure environments.
Experience with network automation using Python and/or Ansible.
Knowledge of network monitoring and management tools.
