Operations Executive - Sourcing, Procurement, and Listing (Mumbai)

Company Description Namrata Mehta founded Strokes by Namrata Mehta in 2020 from her living room during the covid lockdown by selling hand-painted masks through Instagram. Strokes has now grown into a D2C brand for premium women's handbags with ~1 lac+ customers across India and now ships internationally too, offering thoughtfully made bags to a global audience. The brand works closely with kaarigars (craftspeople) in the gullies of Dharavi, Mumbai, empowering local artisans and ensuring fair compensation for their work. Strokes contributes 1% of all sales from its own website toward the care of stray animals. . About the Role We're looking for an all-rounder who can be our go-to person for everything between \"the bag exists\" and \"the bag is live and ready to ship.\" You'll work closely with our vendors and manufacturers, keep our inventory in order, and make sure our product listings on our own website and on marketplaces are accurate, complete, and up to date. This is a hands-on, coordination-heavy role. You won't need a fancy background, you'll need to be sharp, organized, communicate clearly, and pick things up fast. What You'll Do - Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers for sourcing, order follow-ups, and production timelines - Track and manage inventory across our website and marketplace channels - Create and update product listings (descriptions, images, pricing, stock status) on our Shopify website and marketplaces - Flag issues early stock shortages, quality concerns, listing errors before they become problems - Support day-to-day operational tasks as needed; this role will evolve as the brand grows What We're Looking For - Basic communication skills comfortable following up with vendors and coordinating across teams - Strong learning ability you'll pick up recent tools and processes on the job - Organized and detail-oriented; comfortable juggling multiple threads at once - Prior experience in a similar role, or at a D2C consumer brand, is a plus but not mandatory - Ready to join immediately Why Join Us You'll get real ownership early, work directly with the founder, and be part of shaping how a growing premium D2C brand operates behind the scenes.
