Key Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Optometrists in performing eye exams, refraction tests, and using diagnostic equipment.
- Provide basic tests such as visual acuity checks, color vision tests, and basic ocular health assessments.
- Prepare patients for exams and assist with the application of contact lenses or glasses fittings under supervision.
- Educate patients on proper eye care practices and corrective lens usage.
- Help maintain patient records and document their eye health assessments.
- Participate in follow-up care and provide routine eye care advice.
- Assist in the operation and maintenance of diagnostic equipment, including slit-lamp machines, autorefractors, and tonometers.
- Learn and apply best practices for using optometry equipment under senior guidance.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelors degree in Optometry (B.Optom).
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Basic knowledge of optometry practices and eye health.
- Ability to assist in conducting eye exams, operating diagnostic equipment, and maintaining patient records.
- Strong desire to learn and develop skills in optometry under senior supervision.
