This part-time role offers flexibility while maintaining meaningful, hands-on patient care. With a mix of in-office and field responsibilities, youll support patients using advanced respiratory equipment while balancing a schedule designed for part-time clinicians. Youll play a key role in patient education, non-invasive ventilation (NIV) support, and compassionate respiratory care, with manageable travel and a supportive on-call rotation.
Responsibilities
Conduct home visits to perform oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment setups and followups
Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance
Assess patient needs, document care delivered, and escalate concerns appropriately
Respond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs
Collaborating with physicians, case managers, and internal branch teams
Maintain accurate documentation using iPad/laptop
Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment, including, but not limited to, oxygen therapy, nebulization therapy, apnea monitoring, suctioning, PAP, invasive and non-invasive ventilation
Inspects and tests equipment to ensure proper operating condition
Perform clinical assessments and tests such as pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry and gathering vital signs
Performs other duties as required
Requirements
Registered Respiratory Therapist with an active TX RT license.
35 years of Respiratory Therapy experience required.
Ability to stand, lift, push and/or pull objects ranging from 10 50 lbs.
Valid driver's license
Comfortable using mobile technology, navigation tools, and digital documentation
Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
Hold a current RCP license in the state of practice (or states that the location covers) if that state requires an RCP license to allow the practice of respiratory therapy
Hold a current CPR Certification
Hold all applicable licensure in good standing for all states of practice
