Patient caller/AR caller (Chennai)

Make outbound calls to insurance companies to follow up on outstanding claims. Review denied or pending claims and take appropriate action. Understand payer-specific requirements across Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial, and WC/MVA claims. Document call notes, action taken, and next steps accurately in the billing system. Coordinate with internal teams when additional information or documentation is needed. Work towards meeting individual and team-based targets (productivity & quality). Required Skills & Qualifications: 1.Minimum 1 years of experience as an AR Caller in US Medical Billing / RCM. 2.Solid understanding of the AR follow-up cycle and denials 3.Excellent communication skills & Ability to identify claim issues, analyze denials, and provide resolutions. 4.Proficiency in working with billing software and payer portals. 5.Good analytical and problem-solving skills. 6.Willingness to work in Night shift. Job Title Patient Caller Job Summary The Patient Caller is responsible for contacting patients to schedule and confirm appointments, address outstanding balances, explain account details, collect payments, answer billing-related questions, and maintain accurate documentation of all patient interactions. Key Responsibilities - Contact patients regarding outstanding balances through outbound and inbound calls. - Explain medical bills, insurance payments, patient responsibility, deductibles, copays, and coinsurance. - Collect payments over the phone using approved payment methods. - Assist patients in setting up payment plans according to organizational policies. - Answer patient billing inquiries and resolve concerns professionally. - Verify and update patient demographic and contact information. - Document all call activities accurately in the practice management system. - Follow up on unpaid balances within established timelines. - Escalate complex billing or insurance issues to the appropriate team. - Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. - Meet daily productivity and quality targets. - Maintain courteous and professional communication with patients at all times.
