Payments and Process Head-Corporate Real Estate- Leading Bank - Mumbai

Executive Summary:

• The function reports to the National Manager BIU & Lease Management, CREM.
• Manage pre-audit vertical, including Head Office and Zonal teams, for payment processing.
• Demonstrate expertise in payment systems, industry regulations, and fraud prevention to ensure seamless and secure transactions.
• Proactively support the CREM Business Unit in both tactical and strategic decision-making related to payments managed by the department.
• Possess knowledge of GSTN and MSME compliance requirements.
• Create and track multiple KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of the strategies implemented.
• Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential.
• This position requires travel across zones.

In this role, you will:

• Pre-audit and process payments promptly and accurately in accordance with established procedures.
• Ensure compliance with payment policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Analyses payment trends and identify areas for improvement in processes.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers, delivering high-quality service.
• Train and mentor zonal team members on payment processing procedures and best practices.
• Manage reporting for the vertical.
• Stay updated on industry trends and changes in payment systems and technologies.
• The candidate should have hands-on experience in payment processing, budget variance analysis, and internal audits.
• Drive new initiatives and projects for the function.
• Lead process improvements through competitive benchmarking.

Essential skills and qualifications:

• Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in Banking and Financial Services.
• Masters degree in Accounting, MBA (Finance), or a related field.
• Strong analytical and data-gathering skills. Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel.
• Sound knowledge of payment systems, processes, and industry best practices.
• Ability to manage large teams and provide effective leadership.
