We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Analyst to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with statutory regulations. In this role, you will manage end-to-end payroll operations, tax compliance, employee payroll support, and vendor coordination. You will work closely with People, Finance, and external partners to streamline payroll processes, improve operational efficiency, and deliver an exceptional employee experience.
Payroll Processing
Process monthly payroll accurately, including salaries, overtime, incentives, bonuses, reimbursements, and statutory deductions.
Ensure timely salary disbursement while complying with applicable labor laws and payroll regulations.
Validate payroll inputs and resolve discrepancies before payroll execution.
Calculate employee income tax and ensure accurate tax deductions.
Support tax return filings and issuance of payroll-related tax documents.
Coordinate statutory compliance activities, including Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), Professional Tax (PT), and other applicable regulatory filings.
Employee Support
Act as the primary point of contact for payroll-related queries.
Assist employees with payroll concerns related to taxation, statutory deductions, Form 16, overtime, leave payouts, final settlements, and severance payments.
Data Management & Reporting
Maintain accurate employee payroll records, including employment details, tax declarations, bank information, and compensation changes.
Generate payroll reports, reconciliations, and analytical insights using Excel and payroll systems.
Support payroll audits by maintaining complete and accurate documentation.
Partner with HR and Finance teams to manage employee lifecycle changes, benefits administration, onboarding, offboarding, and payroll expense reporting.
Coordinate with payroll and compliance vendors to ensure seamless monthly payroll processing.
3+ years of experience in payroll operations within a mid-sized or large organization.
Strong experience in end-to-end payroll processing and payroll analysis.
In-depth knowledge of Indian payroll regulations, labor laws, income tax, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, and statutory compliance.
Hands-on experience with payroll systems such as SAP, GlobalView, or similar HRMS/payroll platforms.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for payroll analysis and reporting.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Experience working in a shared services or employee service delivery environment is preferred.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Commerce, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
