Purpose of the role:
Underwriting team is responsible for reviewing loan applications, verifying financial documents, and assessing financial risks. They evaluate income, assets, debt, credit, and property details to issue final loan approval. Underwriters work for commercial or investment banks, insurance companies, brokerages, or mortgage lenders.
A Senior Executive within this team would be responsible for managing day to day work, providing subject matter expertise to the junior team members, review and client deliverables and making sure timely delivery of work.
Job Description:
Experience in the Commercial Real Estate and thorough knowledge of Pre and Post mortgage cycle key terms. Experience in Underwriting techniques and analyzing Market Reports/ Third Party Reports/ Loan Documents/ REO Schedule/ PFS.Understanding of commercial Financial Statement Analysis and Rent Rolls.Exposure to different property types and to meet the deadlines of the assigned Tasks.Assist team with the preparation and distribution of periodic and ad hoc reports in a timely, accurate manner.Able to meet targets with efficiency and within the defined deadline.Able to assist the team in meeting clients deliverables. Perform other duties as assigned.The characteristics we are looking for are:
Knowledge of creating Offering Memorandum/ Asset Summary Report preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) programs.Effective written and verbal communication skills, Flexible in shifts.Strong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to multi-task and work in a deadline driven environmentAbility to work effectively in a team environmentExcellent verbal and written communicationStrong client management skillsAbility to cope with competing demandsExposure to large accountsAdvanced degree from Tier 1 institute, Engineering or Equivalent, Master's preferredPGDM/MBA from tier1/2 institute.Interfaces:
