Responsibilities for plumbing engineer
- Prepare proposal submissions
- Prepare tender drawings, documents and technical specifications
- Able to develop estimates for HVAC and Plumbing elements at concept and detailed levels of design
- Good knowledge of the subcontractor market
- Develop an understanding of the companies risk management procedures
- Work independently and make technical decisions based on building code interpretation company, client and industry standard practices
- To focus on service delivery and that PPM work, installation and reactive works completed on time to a high standard
- To provide customers and contracts with technical support and take part in 24 hour emergency call out service
- To carryout site surveys for the purposes of preparing quotations for PPM and extra works, if requested by supervisor
- To assist in site inspections to generate quotations for extra works
Qualifications for plumbing engineer
- May be currently completing training/apprenticeship or considered to be an improver in Gas, A/C, Electrical, Fabric or Mechanical to NVQ level 3
- Assess and escalate issues to the Construction Engineering Manager, as necessary
- Requires an individual who excels in a particular area such as civil, mechanical, piping, electrical, and/or instrumentation work
