Power BI Developer Job Description (Manager Role)
Location: Mumbai | DHL Global Forwarding (DGFF) Global Service Center (GSC)
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Power BI Developer to join our data analytics team at DGFF GSC. In this role, you will independently drive end-to-end dashboard development, optimization, and support, enabling data-driven decision-making across global business functions.
You will collaborate with stakeholders, translate business needs into scalable BI solutions, and ensure timely delivery aligned with quality, cost, and organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports based on business requirements
Work closely with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate requirements into technical solutions
Develop and optimize data models, ETL processes, and transformations using Power Query, DAX, and SQL
Ensure data accuracy, performance, and scalability of reporting solutions
Identify trends, insights, and opportunities through data analysis and visualization
Troubleshoot and enhance existing dashboards for performance optimization and usability improvements
Create and maintain technical documentation (Design, Test Cases, Deployment, User Guides)
Provide user support, training, and best practice guidance for Power BI adoption
Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives and integrate Power BI with enterprise data platforms
Ensure adherence to AGILE methodologies, governance standards, and best practices
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
25 years of hands-on experience in Power BI development (preferred for stronger candidates)
Strong expertise in:
Power BI (Desktop & Service)
DAX, Power Query (M Language)
SQL & data modeling
Solid understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts
Experience handling large datasets and performance optimization
