Presales Engineer Network, Security, Collaboration, AV/VC & Wireless

Key Responsibilities Understand customer business and technical requirements and translate them into appropriate IT infrastructure solutions. Design and propose solutions covering Routing & Switching, Enterprise Network, Security, Wireless, Collaboration and AV/VC. Conduct customer meetings, technical discussions, solution presentations and product demonstrations. Prepare HLD/LLD, solution architecture, BOM, BOQ, technical proposals, compliance sheets and RFP/RFQ responses. Work closely with sales teams to identify opportunities and develop technical solutions aligned with customer requirements. Participate in customer presentations, PoCs, technical evaluations and solution workshops. Perform sizing, capacity planning and technology evaluation for proposed solutions. Coordinate with OEMs, distributors and technology partners for product selection, pricing, technical validation and solution design. Provide technical support during negotiations and help sales teams position the proposed solution effectively. Analyze existing customer infrastructure and recommend optimization, migration, upgrade and transformation solutions. Ensure proposed solutions meet customer requirements, technical standards, scalability, performance and security requirements. Support implementation teams during the transition from presales to project execution. Required Technical Expertise Network Routing & Switching Strong understanding of Cisco Routing & Switching, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VLAN, STP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, HSRP/VRRP, QoS and MPLS. Experience with enterprise network architecture, core/distribution/access network and data-center networking. Knowledge of Cisco Catalyst, Nexus and other enterprise networking platforms. Enterprise Networking Enterprise LAN/WAN architecture and network segmentation. SD-WAN, SDN, Data Center Networking and network automation concepts. Experience designing scalable and redundant network solutions. Network Security Strong understanding of Firewall, VPN, IPS/IDS, NAC, Zero Trust and network segmentation. Presales experience with security solutions such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, Check Point and Cisco ISE. Knowledge of security architecture and secure enterprise network design. Wireless Enterprise Wi-Fi architecture, WLAN design and wireless security. Experience with Cisco, Aruba or equivalent enterprise wireless solutions. Understanding of Wireless LAN Controller, Access Points, RF planning and guest/BYOD solutions. Collaboration Knowledge of Cisco Collaboration / Unified Communications, IP Telephony, Webex, CUCM, CUBE, Voice, Video Conferencing and Contact Center solutions. Ability to design end-to-end collaboration solutions based on customer requirements. AV / VC Knowledge of Audio-Visual and Video Conferencing solutions, meeting-room solutions, digital collaboration and integrated AV systems. Exposure to platforms/OEMs such as Cisco, Poly, Logitech, Crestron, Yealink, Biamp or equivalent is preferred. Understanding of room design, VC endpoints, displays, microphones, speakers and control systems. Presales & Commercial Skills Excellent capability in technical solutioning and consultative selling. Ability to prepare professional technical proposals and solution presentations. Strong BOM/BOQ preparation and solution costing knowledge. Experience responding to RFPs, RFQs, RFI, tenders and compliance requirements. Strong presentation, negotiation and customer-facing skills. Ability to explain complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Good coordination with Sales, Delivery, OEM and Procurement teams.
